I am a Blogger

I am started blogging in March 2008. Since then, I never looked back to find a lot of things to create and design my own blog. Later, I found that creating a blog is fun and expanding my creativity. Especially when you have something to express but you don't know whom to express to and how. Visiting a lot of site make me thinking of something.

'Why can't I make a 'transit' blog for my self or may be for those who needs it'

I started compiling all top college's website and put on my blog and connected it with their main website. Then, I take an initiative to collect some of the creative and informative website to be added in my blog. Finally, I publish my very own blog... That's it!!!

But, since I connected with a lot of peoples around, why don't I make a little promo for my blog? This can be more fun because I can exchange ideas with them. I give them my email and my blog address for them to visit. Also, when replying an email by giving them those with direct connection to the address. It's part of my blog's promo but not to be famous because I realise my blog is not BIGGER, FAMOUS and CONTROVERSIAL as other blog.. I see that... I have a visitor counter but I am not counting them to make me famous then...

I have a friend from Bintulu, Sarawak names Ayea. He is a student and taking STPM in 2008. Accidentally, my blog becoming a good reference by him and his classmates to connect with educational site I put on my Blog.

Blog become a thing with special function. You don't expect people to read whatever thing your wrote but it is good for them to know what your feel. In some case, your story or idea will be an inspiration for those who read your blog.

Becoming a 'Blogger' is not like becoming a Star or to be famous. But a blogger have their own responsibility to tell a story, advised, advertisement, family structure, finds or any idea that can build ourselves or others. Blogger can also help people who are needed. But not to inspire people to do a bad thing.

Yesterday, I have read something useful about 'Big Up your Blog' in our local English newspaper. Sounds nice.. Here are the things that can be yours... May be... Have fun...

Chances are, your blog is not going to land you a book or movie deal like Julie Powell (Movie 'Julie & Julia' that opened on 7th August 2009 in USA cinema with Meryl Streep and Amy Adams as stars was based on her blog site 'Julie and Julia: My Year Of Cooking Dangerously'; and her book 'My Life In France') or make you a Superstar like Perez Hilton (Founder of PerezHilton.com which had about 2.7 million unique visitor in June '09. He is also an author of The Power of Less: The Fine Art Of Limiting Yourself To The Essential... Business and In Life).

But it can bring you personal satisfaction, give you an outlet for expression, help you connect with others and even assist you with leveraging a business. Along the way, you may even come across a little fame. Here is how:


- Blog about what you are passionate about, said Jennifer McLean blog search engine Technorati. Coming up with fresh and interesting content is easier. And if you're only blogging for money and fame, readers will pick up on it, she said.

- Make sure you post frequently, said Gretchen Rubin, who blogs about happiness. "That is a sign of vitality on a blog". And have a clear idea of what you are blogging about. Blogs do better when you have focus on it. So, focus...

- If you are an inspiring author, show that you have loyal following, said Brooke Warner, senior editor at Seal Press. "When someone says I get 25,000 unique visitor a month, we pay attention," she said.
"They have readers and either their story or writing is really good."

- Develop your unique voice, Julie Powell who blogged about cooking all the recipes in a Julia Child cookbook, had a unique book-nobody else had done that before, said Ellen Gerstein, vice president of marketing for John Wiley & Sons. She also brought a lot of humour to her blog.

- Spend time on marketing, said Darren Rowse of ProBlogger.net, a blog with tips for bloggers. With millions of blogs afloat on the web, writing posts is not enough to attract followers, he said. Focus on writing guest post for other blogs or networking, for example.

Harry Potter and Half-blood prince

Harry Potter continues to work box-office alchemy, turning his latest movie adventure into an overnight blockbuster.

The sixth installment, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," took in $79.5 million domestically over opening weekend and $159.7 million since debuting last Wednesday, according to estimates from distributor Warner Bros. on Sunday.

The movie also took in $237 million overseas since Wednesday in 54 countries, bringing its worldwide total to $396.7 million.

With some of the best reviews of any "Harry Potter" movie, "Half-Blood Prince" was off to the fastest overall start in franchise history.

The sixth movie about the young wizard came in $20 million ahead of the last movie, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," which grossed $139.7 million domestically in its first five days two years ago.

The new film had the second-highest start ever for a movie premiering on Wednesday, trailing the $200 million five-day opening for last month's "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen."

"Half-Blood Prince" already has surpassed the $157.3 million "Order of the Phoenix" pulled in during its entire first week in 4,325 theaters. By the end of its seventh day Tuesday, "Half-Blood Prince" will be in the $180 million range on its way to becoming the franchise's first $300 million domestic smash since the original movie, 2001's "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," said Dan Fellman, Warner head of distribution.

The audience was a bit older for the new movie, with more elder teens turning out to see Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and pals Hermione (Emma Watson) and Ron (Rupert Grint) as they deal with adult concerns such as heartache, jealousy and romantic triangles.

Fans have grown up with the franchise, from young readers whose parents had to debate whether the early movies might be too intense for their children to see.

"When the first movie came out, they fought to go. The mother was like, well, should I take them, should I not take them?" Fellman said. "Now they're driving themselves to this and going to the midnight show."

While "Harry Potter" had a healthy start, the overall box office plunged compared to the same weekend last year, when the Batman juggernaut "The Dark Knight" had its record opening weekend of $158.4 million.

The top-12 movies this weekend combined for less than that, taking in $153.9 million, down 39 percent from a year ago.

"We got kind of slaughtered even with the 'Potter' movie, but we knew that was going to happen," said Paul Dergarabedian, box-office analyst for Hollywood.com. "When one movie last year makes more than what the top-12 movies did this year, you're going to have a down weekend."


Fox Searchlight's romantic comedy "500 Days of Summer," starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel, got off to a big start in limited release with $837,588 in 27 theaters. That amounted to an average of $31,022 a cinema, compared to $18,376 in for "Half-Blood Prince."

What is the A (H1N1) influenza?

It is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A strains of the influenza virus. It regularly causes high flu outbreaks in pigs but with low death rates. There are four main sub-types of the virus, but the most recent isolated influenza viruses from pigs have been H1N1 viruses.


How does it spread?

Influenza A (H1N1) viruses do not typically infect humans though they do occur through close proximity or contact with infected pigs or contaminated areas. Cases of human-to-human spread have been documented.

What are the symptoms?

The symptoms are similar to those of regular flu:
- Fever
- Lethargy
- Runny nose
- Cough
- Sore throat
- Lack of appetite
- Vomiting and diarrhoea in some cases.

How common is the A (H1N1) flu infection in humans?

In the past reports of about one human A(H1N1) flu virus infection had been received every one to two years in the United States. From December 2005 till February 2009, 12 cases have been reported.

Has this strain of flu been seen before?

No. Flu mutates constantly, so it is common for new strains to emerge. Pigs can also be infected with both human and avian influenza, and the current circulating A (H1N1) flu strain appears to contain genetic elements from all three.

Can the A (H1N1) flu be treated with antiviral drugs and flu vaccine?

The A (H1N1) flu is resistant to two common drugs – Amantadine and Rimantadine. The A (H1N1) flu viruses are very different from human H1N1 viruses. Therefore, vaccines for human seasonal flu would not provide protection. However, a “seed vaccine” has been specifically tailored to this swine flu and will be manufactured if officials deem it necessary.

Can people catch A (H1N1) flu by eating pork?

No. The A (H1N1) influenza viruses are not transmitted by food. Eating properly handled and cooked pork and pork products is safe. Cooking pork to an internal temperature of 70ºC and above kills the swine flu virus.

How long is someone with the A (H1N1) flu considered contagious?

People with the A (H1N1) influenza virus infection should be considered potentially contagious as long as they are symptomatic; possibly for up to seven days following the onset of the illness. Children, especially younger children, might potentially be contagious for longer periods.

What can I do to protect myself from the A (H1N1) flu?

There is no vaccine available right now to protect against the A (H1N1) flu.

However, you can help prevent the spread of germs that cause respiratory illnesses like influenza by:

- Covering your nose and mouth with a disposable tissue or handkerchief when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the waste basket after you use it.

- Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also helpful

- Try to avoid close contact with sick people. - If you get sick with influenza, stay at home and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them.

- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth.

- Consult your nearest healthcare facility if you think you have any of the symptoms.

Which countries have had cases of the A (H1N1) flu?

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has confirmed human cases of the A (H1N1) flu in Mexico, the United States, Canada and Spain. Only Mexico has reported deaths from the new strain.

Are there any travel restrictions or advisories for Malaysians?

The Health Ministry on April 27 advised Malaysians against travelling to certain places in the United States, Mexico and Canada which have been affected by the swine flu.

What precautions are in place in Malaysia?

- The Health Ministry’s operations room in Putrajaya has started a 24-hour monitoring of the situation. The public can call 03-8881 0200/300 for enquiries.

- Those returning from Latin American countries and found to have flu-like symptoms will be quarantined.

- Health Ministry officials are conducting health screenings on passengers arriving from the United States.

- Thermal scanners will be placed at international airports to speed up the screening process for A (H1N1) flu.

- Public and private medical practitioners have been instructed to report to the district health office any patient with influenza-like illnesses or severe pneumonia symptoms and who had travelled to the affected countries after April 17.

- Owners of the 797 pig farms nationwide have been ordered to immediately contact the nearest Veterinary Services Department office or the Animal Disease Control Centre if their workers or animals show symptoms linked to the A (H1N1) flu.

Happy Mother's Day

Mother's Day was created by Anna Jarvis as a day for each family to honour their mothers. Being a mother is the only job paid by pure LOVE. All they want is their children to succeed and turn out to be respected people in society. They give everything and expect nothing in return.

I don't think celebrating Mother's Day annually is enough to congrats our mother in their great job. Moms usually don't expect any expensive gifts from their children. All they need is to get back plenty of LOVE and AFFECTION. The smallest things like spending QUALITY TIME with them, cleaning the house or cooking a meal for them cam make them feel really HAPPY. So WHY wait for ONE DAY IN THE YEAR to celebrate OUR MOTHER when WE can make them feel ON TOP OF THE WORLD every DAY?

Salam to all of you out there. I hope you all are in a very good condition with optimist mind ek..

To all SPMers and STPMers, the result will be out soon. SPM will be out on 12th of March 2009. Meanwhile, STPM will be out on 10th of March 2009. Means next week will be a very nervouses week for all the exam candidates.

I will always pray that all of you will get the tremendous good result that will pay your 2 years challenging hardworking. So, get up and stand proud of yourself for what you have done. Make yourself somebody' in our society.

But for those who cannot make it into the group of success, you may try other ways to climb up your life. This may be thing you should know and learn from now on. This guiding you to your real success... But you still have to proud of yourself for trying the best as you can.. True to yourself...

Today is d most triggered day 4me...Bcoz I was promoted 2 KPL la...Of coz I'm happy... I'm waiting 4 it 4 almost 4 years... It supposed 2 B last year but it had been posphoned...So it is 2day that is bcome sentimental day 2me...Historical time peace...But it is not an arrogant ang ego 4 being upgrade... I really hope I'm not like that...What I want is, I can become a sample of a good worker 2 my collegues...chewahhh...

Worst thing 2day is I left my hp at home... Every1 is angry with me n now I hv 2 explaine 2 them... A bit late this morng. Wake up at 5am(which is late 4 morng shift - 4 me). I hv 2 wake my friend up(coz he went on holiday fm 2day onward) as usuall. Then my colleague coming and pick me up at home. I realised that I left my hp but it is already at the office... What can I do? Then blame me... Sorry every1...

I'm on morning shift 2day.Post bagg.Clear day here in Labuan.Quiet bz. I'm helping my friend to decorate dept. lounge for Hari Raya with colour light and additional deco.Our office has been audited starting fm yesterday.2day is d last day 4 'em.Hope d result will b ok.

Also, I'm quite bz these days.Had somthing 2do.Important 4 my life. N also 4 my future.Hopefully it will b finish b4 23rd bcoz I'll away from 23rd to 30th of September.I'll b in my 'kampung' for Hari Raya.I'll b back 2 'kampung' on 24th.

Hari Raya fever is on d air.Every1 is talking about it. Kuih raya.Baju Raya.Langsir raya.Everythg about 'Raya'.
